Nolan my youngest son would always ask me when I had to work “are you staying at home or do you need to go somewhere.” As if I wasn’t working when being at my homeoffice. But now my working days are over…
So this week was my last day at work and I handed in my telephone and computer at the office. It is a crazy feeling…
1. I just changed jobs 2 years ago and I really liked my tasks.
2. When I was allowed to work at the age of 14/15 I got my first job and I never been without a job ever since.
3. Knowing that there won’t be a salary at the end of next month is strange.
We made this decision together and my resignation was part of it.
I always said I wasn’t made to be a stay at home mom. I really like to be also Ester a coworker, friend and wife etcetera. When the children were 4 months old I was happy that I could go back to work. But when we are moving abroad I want to take care of the kids. They can’t talk English and probably they will need me a little bit more in the beginning than they need me now. So I will have to find a way to deal with being a stay at home mom and find things to do when they won’t need me that much anymore. I really think they will find their way easily!
But we will see and I keep you posted 😉
